This first step introduces clinicians to Translating Research into Practice (TRIP) and the purpose of QH-TRIP. It is ideal for individuals, teams, or departments new to TRIP and is the essential starting point for anyone beginning their TRIP journey.

Foundation

Start with the foundation of QH-TRIP before moving through the change-planning stages.

Is TRIP right for me?

TRIP provides health workers with the education, tools, and resources to drive practice change. It supports practitioners to find, appraise, and translate high-quality evidence into everyday practice using a structured, theory-informed approach.

If you want to improve patient outcomes or service delivery, TRIP can help you get started.

Why TRIP matters

TRIP bridges the gap between what we know and what we do. It helps teams embed research into practice in ways that make a measurable difference for patients, services, and staff.

QH-TRIP

QH-TRIP helps Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) bridge the gap between research and practice by strengthening workforce capability.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and custodians of the lands from across Queensland. We pay our respects to the Elders past and present for they are holders of the memories, traditions, the culture and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Queensland.
